Essential Garden Jobs To Do This June

The start of summer has arrived. The days are getting longer and hopefully warmer. All the heat and light should give all your plants the extra push they need to grow. But beware weeds will start showing up, as they also love this weather.

Did you know?
June 21st is the longest day of the year

Here are some jobs to get you started this month
  1. Start getting your summer pots and hanging baskets outside

  2. As we hopefully are starting to see the rain less, start watering your plants, but be careful

  3. You can start harvesting your lettuces and other salads, as well as early potatoes

  4. Keep weeds away

  5. Try to mow your lawn every week. You can leave a section to have a safe place for wildlife.

  6. Prune many spring-flowering shrubs

  7. Keep greenhouses cool by providing some cover and shade

Give your flowers an extra boost this season, make sure to use Mary & June's 'Premium Plant Food' with High Potash, Micro-Nutrients & Seaweed.
