How to plant up a container in six simple steps
Make sure that the container you are using has drainage holes. If not, you can easily use a drill or another piece of equipment to make small holes at the bottom. If the container has holes larger than 1 inch then you should add stones to help stop any compost from falling out.
Now fill the container with your choice of compost, try to fill until you are about 2 inches from the top of the container. Once in press down to lightly firm it.
If you have your choice of plant ready, now you can begin to plant them. Make sure to plant them firmly in the compost.
Once you’ve planted everything make sure to give it a good water. Do this so that the compost is thoroughly soaked.
